We value our school uniform and ask parents to ensure their child leaves home looking smart and in the correct uniform.

The Academy uniform consists of:
  • Plain black blazer
  • Plain white shirt
  • Plain black tailored trousers (no stretchy material or Miss Sexy/Sixty style trousers) or plain black skirt (tailored knee length)
  • HPA Tie (ties must show a minimum of 7 light blue stripes when worn)
  • Plain black v-neck jumper/cardigan (optional)
  • Plain black shoes -Leather or leather type (No trainers – including Vans type leather trainers, canvas or suede)
  • A plain black headscarf if worn for religious purposes
PE Kit
  • Navy blue shorts/skort
  • Navy blue tracksuit bottoms
  • Royal blue polo shirt
  • Trainers and rugy/football boots
  • Academy rugby shirt (boys)
  • Navy blue fleece (girls)
  • Navy blue PE socks
  • Shin pads
Students can also wear:
  • A watch may be worn, necklaces under buttoned up shirts. However, watches, necklaces and other adornments should all be removed before the physical education lesson.
  • If worn make-up should be discrete.
Students MUST NOT wear:
  • Outside coats/jackets in the building
  • Hats & scarves in the building (unless for religious purposes).
  • Large earrings or other jewellery.
  • Facial piercings including tongue piercings.
  • Rings, bracelets or wristbands of any description. Where these are part of religious observance written permission is required from a student’s College Leader.
Hair Colour:

Our Hans Price uniform is intended to replicate formal office wear, and in keeping with this, we expect students to have natural hair colours as would be expected of someone working in a formal workplace environment.

 

Headphones

Headphones are not allowed in the academy. Mobile phones may be brought into school but must not be used in lessons. Electronic equipment remains the responsibility of the student. Students are advised not to bring to school items over the value of £10. The school can not accept responsibility for the loss or damage to any such items. We expect students to arrive each day properly equipped to take part in lessons.

Boys Correct Uniform Requirements

This student is wearing the correct uniform consisting of:

Girls Correct Uniform Requirements

This student is wearing the correct uniform consisting of:

Black trousers (not tight at the ankles), black leather or leather-look shoes, black socks, blazer, white shirt and tie showing at least seven light blue stripes. Girls can also wear black knee length skirts.

Incorrect Uniform

The following images show uniform which is not acceptable at HPA. Students arriving in incorrect uniform may be sent home to change. Please support the Academy by ensuring that your child attends suitably dressed.

This student’s skirt is too short. Bracelets are not permitted and her tie does not show at least seven light blue stripes.

Both students’ trousers are too tight at the ankle. One student is not wearing black socks and blazer sleeves should be worn at full length. Both students are wearing their ties incorrectly. Ties should show at least seven light blue stripes. One student is not wearing black leather or leather-look shoes.

This student’s trousers are too short and tight at the ankles. He is not wearing black socks and his blazer is missing. He is also wearing his tie incorrectly by not showing at least seven light blue stripes.

Hans Price Academy uniform must be ordered directly from the uniform suppliers ‘Sportswear International’ whose online ordering will be accessible from this website page.  We will not be holding any stock from the beginning of January; however, we will have samples that can be tried on if you are unsure of sizing.

Currently your order at school can take up to two weeks to arrive, however by ordering directly, your order will be with you within three to five workings days.  Delivery is free to home if the order is over £70, otherwise it will be delivered to your door for a charge of £4.00.  We have agreed with the company that during term time you can have your order delivered free of charge to the school if you prefer, orders placed by the end of the day on a Monday will be delivered into the school on the Wednesday for parents to collect from the school on the Thursday.
